If you're looking for a rich mobile web browsing experience that closely emulates the look and feel of desktop browsers, you only need to look at a handful of Android powered smartphones now that Adobe confirmed Flash 10 support for additional devices. We've already witnessed the HTC EVO 4G getting it and we know that it's coming to the Motorola DROID X as well, but it's also expected to become available for the HTC Droid Incredible, HTC Desire, Samsung Galaxy S, and the Motorola MILESTONE. 
We've been tipped that Verizon's original Motorola DROID is starting to get an Android 2.2 update over the air, ahead of the rumored August 12th date. This may not be the swan song update for the current most popular Android device, since Android 3.0 (Gingerbread) probably won't have strict hardware requirements that the DROID can't fulfill. 
On August 3rd, Palm’s job board posted an open position for ‘Director - Sprint Retail Sales’. The posting references “the implementation of products/services based on the VP–Sales – Sprint’s direction”, as well as “product launch activities”. These points suggest that Palm will continue its close relationship with Sprint, and, what is more important for us, may soon launch new products!
Google sent out invitations for a mobile event to be held tomorrow. Google Maps Navigation for mobile was announced in a similar fashion, and we are curious what will it be now. We know they've been working on desktop version of the Android Market that will allow you to push apps OTA to your device, on streaming music solutions for Android, and expanding the paid market content to more countries.
How would you like to watch streaming satellite television from your iPhone, BlackBerry or Android handset? According to the AP, you soon will have this option. BlackBerry and iPhone (iPod Touch and iPad owners too) users will be have this function starting next month while in October, Android phones will have this capability. Besides having to download a free new app from Dish, special hardware will be required like a Sling Box which costs in the range of $200 to $300. Or, Dish subscribers can pay $200 to $400 to upgrade their DVR to one with Sling Box features. You will have to pay $10 a month for multiple DVR service, but you will get to record with it. A little note here-Sling Box is owned by EchoStar whose Chairman is Charles Ergen, the CEO of Dish Network.
